DVDs circulate for 2 days but may be renewed once. Reference materials are not available for circulation but may be used in the library. Reserves may be placed on items that are currently checked out. You will be notified when the item is available.
The Pittsylvania County Library makes its meeting room facilities available for public use. All meetings must be free and open to the public. Each library receives magazines and newspapers tailored to the usage in the branch. The main library in Chatham also has the Star Tribune, the county’s weekly newspaper, available in microfilm. Many magazine and journal titles are also available through the Find It Virginia databases.
Research and Reference Services
Some reference service is provided at all the library branches either in person or by telephone. Access is also provided to Find It Virginia, a collection of online reference resources, to anyone with a library card. These databases may be accessed from home as well as in the library.
